I know, it's been too long. After the baby, the holidays showed up and then E left for job training for 2 months, and then came home and had to write a thesis. Now, things are calm and seem to be alot more fun than ever. I keep avoiding the initial act of sitting down and starting over here on my blog, but it's time to get over it because I want to remember the things that we go through as a family. I can't promise a weekly recipe or a daily post but a weekly post (at least) is doable now. Quick catch up...
Rachel was a Ladybug for Halloween, Luke was...well...asleep!
Rachel met Santa this year. It didn't go well.
Here is our Christmas picture.
Rachel turned 2.
Then she met the Easter Bunny and did her first egg hunt.
Luke's first Easter...sadly this is the best picture is was able to get with the both of them.
We just ran our first 5K in since having children together. We ran the Nate Bruckenthal 5k that benefits a food pantry for needy military families. Our goal was to run the whole thing and we accomplished that goal with the kids in tow. Had a great time and we were very surprised to SO MANY old friends from from the past.
Here's Luke at 6 months. He has 2 bottom teeth, he sits up and rolls and scoots around EVERYWHERE. He keeps me busy.
E won "Employee of the Quarter" and was then asked to represent his service at the Washington Nationals baseball game for the Military Appreciation promotion. We got to go to the game free, he got a signed ball from the the players and he started out "playing" shortstop in full uniform.
